WebEngage Is Now Salla Platform Native – Asia’s #1 CEP Joins Hands With GCC’s Largest E-commerce Platform

Table of Contents

Salla is one of the largest commerce platforms in the GCC region, built specifically for merchants in the Middle East with native support for Arabic, local payments, shipping providers, VAT requirements, and regional commerce workflows.

In big news for Salla merchants, we are stoked to announce the WebEngage Salla native integration today. It is now live on the Salla App Store and just one click away from installation.

Salla merchants can now transform their customer and store data into intelligent and personalized customer experiences, unlocking engagement across 15 channels with zero engineering effort!

What does the WebEngage Salla App unlock for your storefront?

With WebEngage, you get to put your store data to use. All signals, including customers’ behavioral footprints, transactions, your store’s catalog, and lapsed customers, are tracked in real time. The WebEngage platform puts this data to work by helping you build intelligent segments and delightful customer journeys. This native integration unlocks 3 capabilities for you on WebEngage – you get a ready Customer Data Platform (CDP), a multi-channel Customer Engagement Platform (CEP), and a full-blown Analytics Suite.

WebEngage CDP: one home for all your customer data

The integration pulls every customer signal from your Salla store into WebEngage and ties it into a single profile per shopper, including the casual browsers. It syncs in two phases: a one-time backfill when you install the app, and continuous streaming of data afterward.

At installation
As soon as you complete your installation, WebEngage fetches these..

  1. Customers’ order history from your store
  2. Latest product catalog(s)
  3. Existing customer database and their first party attributes

Post installation
There would be real-time data streaming of these datasets.

  1. Behavioral events – product views, cart activity, checkout actions, etc
  2. New orders and transactions
  3. New customer registrations and profile updates

From this point on
WebEngage unifies activity across your web stores and mobile app stores into a 360-degree user profile, as shown below.

All the data points WebEngage tracks – including user demographyacquisition details, first-party user attributes, and behavioral data- can be used to create user segments, trigger user journeys, and personalize campaigns.

WebEngage Multi-channel CEP: engage users across every channel

You’d be able to put your data to use from day 0. Below is a list of some of the user journeys you’d be able to set up instantly!

  1. Welcome new buyers or registrants with personalized email drips.
  2. Recover abandoned carts using WebEngage AI that chooses the best channel, timing and recommendations for each shopper in the journey.
  3. Rescue drop-offs with exit intent campaigns before the user leaves.
  4. Automate alerts and recovery journeys for critical errors, such as payment failures.
  5. Set up highly personalized user journeys to guide users from first to second purchase / second to third, and so on.
  6. Automate user journeys for reactivating your dormant users.

I can go on, but you get the drift..

While setting these up, you’d be delighted by how seamless our Journey Designer Canvas is – an industry-first visual, drag-n-drop experience we launched about a decade ago. Most importantly, through Journey Analytics, you’ll discover how meaningfully these journeys are bringing you quantified incremental revenue on your storefront.

WebEngage Analytics Suite: track user behavior & measure your key metrics

WebEngage has a full-blown Analytics Suite – complete with event analytics, funnel tracking, cohorts, etc. In the screengrab below, you can see our Event Analytics section in action.

Additionally, you’d be able to set up live dashboards to monitor all your KPIs and track them in real-time (screengrab below). You can also set up alerts to detect anomalies and act on them.

WebEngage’s Analytics Suite is exploratory in design. It allows you to inspect deeply into all data signals and campaign performance metrics. If you use WebEngage, you wouldn’t need any other user tracking or analytics tool for your storefront – learn more here.

The WebEngage Impact

During a short span since the launch of our WebEngage Salla native plugin, Salla merchants using WebEngage have seen phenomenal early results – 15-30% uplift in conversions, 20-25%+ improvement in repeat purchases, 10-25% increase in their AOV, and a RoAS upwards of 10x.

Got a Salla store? Here’s how you can get started.

  1. Visit the WebEngage listing on the Salla App Store
  2. Choose between Starter or Growth plans based on your requirement, or request a custom plan for advanced needs
  3. Grant the required permissions, enter your WebEngage License Code / Authentication Code, and complete activation
