Hey Reader, Here is your Tip of the Week from EngageClass! Use Static Lists to run automated engagement campaigns
Problem StatementStatic Lists have been the perfect solution for executing one-off campaigns for a small group of users where your end goal is to invoke immediate action like user activation, conversion, or registration. But what if you want to engage the same set of users continually? Let’s say you’re trying out a new user flow and a set of beta users abandon their carts on your app/website. So you decide to send them cart abandonment communication via email. But there is a possibility that not every user has checked your email and completed the checkout process. In this case, you might want to follow up in a day and send a mobile push notification to everyone who has not completed the checkout process. Should you now: Send another mobile push notification to the same set of users on Day 2? You might upset the users who have already completed the checkout process. Create a different segment (excluding those who have completed the checkout process) and send them an email again? Continue doing this every time when users abandon their carts?
Don’t worry. We’ve got you covered! 🙂 Introducing Static Lists for Journeys. You can now select the Static List of users and send personalized campaigns across channels. This option is visible in the Segment trigger configuration dropdown when the ‘is already in’ condition is selected on the Journey Designer canvas.
For example, you can first create a list of beta users who have abandoned their carts. You can then trigger a journey for this segment and send a reminder email or a mobile push notification after 24 hours, if they still haven’t completed the checkout process. This way, you can maximize your conversions without having to run multiple one-time campaigns for different channels.
How to use Static Lists to run automated engagement campaigns? Adopt multi-channel user engagement ✅You can step up your multi-channel engagement game using the Journey Designer. According to your use case, you can create campaigns, add reachability checks for multiple channels, and engage your users.
Create engaging experiences over a period of time ⏰You can run 48 hours or a week-long campaign per your use case and based on how much time you think your users would need to convert.
Use segments from RFM analysis and send targeted campaigns 📲RFM segmentation enables you with quick identification of different user segments. You can save these individual user segments as Static Lists and then run targeted campaigns for each of them. For example, you can identify customers who are about to churn and create a win-back journey for them. You can also extend loyalty programs only to your most valuable customers.
Build your own customized user list 👥You can build Static Lists or utilize readymade lists from external sources. You can upload them directly on your WebEngage dashboard and run personalized engagement campaigns for users located across geographies.
