We have made a bunch of additions to WebEngage. Let’s have a look at what we have achieved together in the month of December 2020-January 2021.
1. Progressive Image Rendering for In-app Notifications
Our new 3-step progressive image rendering helps images get rendered faster in in-app notifications for Android and iOS. This functionality improves the user experience when the image size is big.
2. Updated Twilio Integration
Our SMS integration with Twilio now supports using a Messaging Service to increase your outbound SMS throughout (message sent per second).
3. iOS SDK Updates
- In compliance with the changes that Apple is planning to roll out in 2021, we have stopped using IDFA (Identifier for Advertisers) as the default for identifying a device in the latest version of our iOS SDK. We’ll use IDFV (Identifier for Vendor) as the default device identifier on iOS going forward.
- We have added support for including iOS Universal Links in email, SMS, and WhatsApp campaigns. This will enable you to seamlessly redirect the user to the right section of your app, or website. This feature is available for selected customers, please reach out to your account manager to get access.
That’s all we have for you as of now, and a lot more planned in our upcoming releases! As we proceed towards working on the new features and launches for you, enjoy these new features to their fullest! 🙂
If you wish to pass on any feedback about these releases or are unsure about implementing any of these features, get in touch, and we’ll help you out!
