Hey Reader,
Greetings from WebEngage!
We hope you’re having a great experience with WebEngage. We’re excited to introduce new features on the dashboard. 😀
Introducing Universal & Custom Control group
Besides campaign-level control groups, you can now create and use a custom control group and universal control group on the WebEngage dashboard. With this, you can now create control groups on your entire user base by deciding the percentage of users to be excluded from receiving any campaigns.
The Benefit?
Unlike the campaign-level control groups, where users are randomly selected and differ from one campaign to another, users in Universal & Custom Control Groups stay the same across campaigns and channels. Therefore, helping you measure the effectiveness of your campaigns over time across different channels of engagement.
You can measure the impact of the Universal Control Group and Custom Control group from the channel engagement and overview pages, as shown in the screenshot below –
This feature is currently access-controlled; you can reach out to your CSM or product@webengage.com to get this enabled for your account.
Android SDK v4.2.0
We have released Android SDK v4.2.0. With this release, we have added region parameter changes that were introduced from Xiaomi’s side in their Mi Push SDK v5.0.6. This is a recommended update for users who have or will be integrating Mi Push SDK (as Mi has made this field mandatory), and adding this can also lead to improvement in the overall push notification deliverability rates. For this, you must integrate the latest Mi push SDK and WebEngage Android SDK v4.2.0, along with the updated steps mentioned in this doc.
iOS core SDK v6.1.1
In this release, we have added event rule optimizations for In-app Notifications.
Hope you start making the most of these features and enjoy using them as much as we enjoyed developing them for you! We have some important and major feature releases in the pipeline. Stay tuned for more!
