Hey Reader,

Greetings from WebEngage!

We hope you’re having a great experience with WebEngage. We’re excited to introduce new features on the dashboard. 😀

Custom HTML support for in-app notifications

Using the newly introduced “Custom HTML” option, you can create more engaging in-app notifications by having full control over its look and feel.

Currently, this option is supported only in Classic Modal and Full Screen Modal layouts. To use this, you need to upgrade to Android core SDK v3.20.5+ and iOS core SDK v5.2.11+.

This feature is only available for selected customers. Please contact your Customer Success Manager or product@webengage.com to get access.

In-app notifications – select GIFs and customize image height

You can now i) insert GIFs in the Classic Modal and Full-Screen Modal layouts and ii) specify a custom image height in the Classic Modal layout.

Mobile SDK updates

    1. Android SDK updated to v4.0.0
Includes support for app personalization (in-line content), push click optimizations for Cordova and changes related to collecting push opt-ins and Google Advertising Id in Android 13.
    2. iOS SDK updated to v6.0.0
Includes support for app personalization (in-line content).

Search WhatsApp templates by name

Easily find a WhatsApp message template by its name and view its type while selecting a template.

Addition of Status column in campaign CSV reports.

A new column (Status) has been added to the campaign and journey reports. The status is in sync with the status shown on the dashboard (Ended, Paused, Upcoming, Running).

This change would provide more flexibility while analyzing campaign performance data.

Don’t send a campaign to all users by default

The “All Users” segment will no longer be selected by default when you create a campaign. This change helps ensure that the choice of sending a campaign to all users is an intentional one and it is not sent to all users in a hurry just because it’s the default selection.

Hope you start making the most of these features and enjoy using them as much as we enjoyed developing them for you! We have some important and major feature releases in the pipeline. Stay tuned for more! 😀
